How to Make Delicious Pav Bhaji Recipe at Home

Pav Bhaji Recipe - Pav Bhaji is a popular food from Maharashtra which is very much liked all over India.

While making pav bhaji at home, bhaji is not prepared in the same way as we saw it in restaurants or street food vendors.

Today we will learn how to make a restaurant like a pav bhaji at home.

Ingredients for Pav Bhaji (serves 4)

1) 4 Medium-sized potatoes

2) 1/2 Cup green peas

3) Half-sliced cauliflower

4) 2 Medium-sized carrots

5) 2 Medium-sized onions

6) 1 tsp grated onion (paste can also be used)

7) 1 tsp garlic finely chopped (paste can also be used)

8) 2 Medium-sized tomatoes finely chopped

9) One medium-sized capsicum

10) Half a teaspoon each of red chili and turmeric

11) 1 tsp coriander and 1 tsp cumin powder

12) 2 tbsp ready made pav bhaji masala

13) 2 tbsp lemon juice

14) 2 tbsp refined oil

15) 3 tbsp butter

16) Some finely chopped coriander to garnish

17) 8 Pieces Pav and salt as per taste

Pav Bhaji Recipe  at Home

First of all, wash all the vegetables thoroughly and cut them into small pieces then add 1 cup of water and salt as per taste and put all the vegetables in a pressure cooker and let them cook till 2 whistles.

After about 10 minutes, open the cooker and mash all the vegetables well. You can mash the vegetables more or less in your own way.

Now put 2 teaspoons oil and 2 teaspoons butter in a pan and fry onion, ginger, and garlic together till they turn light brown.

Now add chopped capsicum, tomato, and a little salt to it.

Now roast it until it becomes soft and add all the spices mentioned above and cook it slowly for 2 minutes.

Now add a cup of water to it and mix it well and let it cook for 3 minutes.

Now add boiled vegetables and lemon juice and mix well and let it cook for 5 minutes.

After this check its salt, if you find less then add more salt.

Your bhaji is ready, put finely chopped coriander over it and decorate it.

Apply butter and bake the pav on low flame from both sides. Now serve pav with bhaji by applying butter, and keep chopped onion and lemon along with it.

In this way your delicious Home made Pav Bhaji is ready. It takes a total of 45 minutes to make it.
